Easy Decorating Idea
I love decorating for different seasons! It can get expensive to decorate for each holiday though. Today I’m going to share with you an easy peasy idea for decorating for Valentine’s Day. All you need to make these easy window clings is some puffy paint.
Inexpensive Decor
These DIY window clings cost me about $4 for the 3 bottles of paint I purchased. If I had been able to wait for a sale it would have been even cheaper. (Rule number ONE of shopping in a craft store: always, always, ALWAYS use a coupon! Download the store’s app and you have coupons at the ready. I just pull these up when I am waiting in line to checkout!)
No Storage Needed
My attic is starting to look a little like an episode of Hoarders. The last thing I need is another bin of decorations to store. I love that these window clings don’t take up any room. They aren’t precious either, so if you want, you don’t have to feel guilty if you don’t save them-you can just enjoy making new ones next year! (All the moms struggling with their family’s clutter said, “Hallelujah!”)

Materials Needed
- puffy paint in colors of your choice
- gallon-sized ziploc bag
- FREE Valentine’s Day printable template
How To Make Window Clings
Place the FREE printable template into the gallon-sized ziploc baggie.
Start tracing the outlines of the hearts with your puffy paint.
Allow paint to thoroughly dry. (I let mine dry overnight.)
Once dry, gently peel off of plastic bag. This might take a minute. (I found that the thicker I made the paint when tracing, the easier it was to peel off.)
Place window clings on a window or mirror. I placed my DIY window clings on an old window that I have sitting on my mantle. (Tip: If they aren’t sticking as well as you would like, you can wipe the back with a damp paper towel.)
This is so easy, your kiddos could do it. Wouldn’t they love to decorate the windows in their rooms? (Or the bathroom mirrors with some fun holiday window clings?) I know mine would!
