Alright. I know the title is a little silly, but Bob the Builder sayings aside, flower arrangements shouldn’t be tricky!
You CAN make a flower arrangement look good-even NICE!
And you don’t have to spend a ton of money to get an “expensive” look. All it takes is a little creativity. And, in this case, plastic cups. [Wink]

Tool Caddy’s have been springing up all over the place lately. I was kinda fortunate and got one from a church yard sale. It was the best kind of shopping: the kind where you have “boots on the ground”, but your boots are actually in your own home (in my case this means my parents found it for me).
Here were some of their finds.
I had my new finds sitting on the kitchen counter for a couple days while I mulled over where I thought I wanted to put them. Do you do that? Let things “sit” for a while before moving them? It’s part of the creative process. Don’t rush art people!
You Belong Among the Wildflowers
Anyway, my sweet husband knows the way to my heart (i.e. it’s either through food, bargains, or flowers) and came home with all 3 last week after stopping by Trader Joe’s. If you have a Trader Joe’s near you, then you probably already know this, but that store is the best place to find fresh flowers for a bargain. Seriously. The only time I have seen any cheaper is when Kroger has a “manager’s special”, but that is hit or miss. Trader Joe’s hasn’t let me down yet when it comes to their flower selection! (This post isn’t sponsored by Trader Joe’s….but if you are listening TJ, I WILL work for flowers. Just saying.)
So…remember sweet husband? Well he picked up some flowers for me when he stopped by to get a couple other odds and ends. And since my new yard sale finds were still on the counter (creative process, remember?) I got the idea to put my new flowers into the new-to-me tool caddy.
I was a little nervous about cutting the stems short in case the flowers ended up not looking full enough in the caddy, but I decided to have a “Ms. Frizzle moment” to “take chances, get dirty, make mistakes” -and luckily only one of the three ended up happening. SO moral: don’t be intimidated by this!
My caddy had galvanized tins inside of it, but I wasn’t sure how water tight they were, so I went with the safe route (sorry Ms. Frizzle) and used plastic cups.
