Use Amazon Prime for Easter
Whatever your Easter traditions usually are, my guess is that things are going to look a little different with the Corona Virus creating a worldwide pandemic this year. I usually appreciate the convenience of Amazon, but these days I am appreciating my Prime membership even more.
Shopping has been made much more convenient thanks to services like ClickList, Target Pick-Up, and Amazon Prime. I feel guilty not supporting small shops more, but in this season of life: 3 kids, 3 family businesses (my husband’s newest company is here), and 1 car, online shopping has saved-the-day for this crazed mama more than once!
Same is true for Easter basket surprises. The Easter Bunny can use Amazon Prime to make sure everything gets to our door without having to worry about hopping all over town! (Which isn’t even possible right now with the current “lock down” we are in. I don’t think I could justify Easter basket candy and treats as “essential items” -not unless the kiddos are getting groceries and medicine amongst the shredded “grass” this year.)
Here, I’ve made it easy and given you ideas for gifting summer “essentials”, filler items, and shared sibling gifts. Nothing is over $25 (many are $10 or less).
And all the mamas say, “AMEN.”

I like to Cheat: Gifting Things they Need
Who says you can’t gift your kiddo with something they need? I have been known to give my kids summer sandals, bathing suits, and more. (Yes, I’ve even given tooth brushes in their Easter basket….Gotta even out the sweets from the grandparents and that bunny!) Note: I LOVE this bathing suit- it comes in most sizes for matching sister-sets too!

Easter Basket: Gifts Siblings Can Enjoy Together
I love finding things that will keep my kiddos entertained without being in front of a screen. (Don’t get me wrong, screens are great, but I love things that provide open-ended options for creative play.) We have all of these at our house and they are all shared and enjoyed.

Subscriptions Make Good Easter Gifts Too!
I admit it, I don’t like chocolate. I know. (I’m actually not a big fan of any candy….) No, this isn’t some kind of health-food-kick I’m on. Ahem-I’ve never met a glazed donut I didn’t like (well, except for a chocolate one, but you get the point…wink).
Given my lack of enthusiasm over chocolate and candy, it sort of makes sense that I don’t understand the allure of getting an entire basket full of sweets. If you are going to be spending $20-$30 on candy, why not consider a month’s gift subscription instead? There are so many good ones out there now! I would have loved these as a child!
(Remember, this is coming from the girl whose sole purpose for dressing up for Halloween as a child was entirely for the costume, I could have cared less about the candy.)
