So, I Kinda Went MIA There

Hellooooo there my AMIGOS!!!

I have been SO “MIA” over the last few months. If you saw on Facebook or Instagram, you might have seen that we are expecting Baby #3 in the New Year!

We are so very excited and feel blessed beyond words.

This kiddo has already given Mommy a “ride” to say the least.  But I am 24 weeks and am starting to feel more like myself. (Well, adding in additional aches here and there and the ability to not control what is happening to my body. Ahem. But definitely mostly like myself.)

You know the Bible verse about “do nothing without complaining”…? Well, Paul….

DUDE.

You’ve never been pregnant. (Ha!)

All joking aside, I do realize how blessed we are for this amazing miracle and can’t wait to show you more as we get closer to “D-Day.”

For now, it’s time to let you in on the gender of this little peanut! (Kudos to all of you who have the patience to wait to find out what you are having. I have zero self-control in this area!)

It’s a …(let’s pause for dramatic “drum roll effect”)….

So this little one will give us a total of two girls and one boy. We are so excited and can’t wait to meet her!

Hit me up in the comments with your best tips for getting rid of headaches. I have tried all.the.things. (even going to have an IV) and nothing has been “the cure”….so Paul, I’m not complaining, but 10ish weeks with waking up with a headache everyday is not, well, a joyride. (Don’t worry, it hasn’t been a horrid headache that whole time, but because it’s been around so long now, and because I’m a complete dork-o-bot, I’ve named this migraine/headache “Marty” and will sure be glad when he decides to vacate. I told my grandma I was looking into exorcism as a final option. As with most people, she just didn’t know what to make of me. Ha! (No Mimi, I am NOT vetting exorcists….but Marty, please LEAVE! Wink.)

So, hit me up with your go-tos for headache relief (and remember, high pain killers and alcohol are not viable options at the moment).

Congratulations!! When I was pregnant (forever ago) I used a hot water bottle on my face to relieve headaches. Sounds strange, but it worked!

No, doesn’t sound strange at all! I have a new, closer, relationship with my heating pad. I feel like I spend more time with it some days than my husband! Ha!

Welcome back!! I have had a headache everyday for the past 4 yrs, so I feel your pain. Mine often turn to debilitating migraines. I am scheduled for procedure in the new year that will burn the nerves to help. Please pray this works. I have had moderate success in preventing them from becoming migraines using peperment oil and cold(ice cold) compresses and caffine. I hope that this helps. I will pray for you.
    Once again Welcome back,
    Angelina

Oh girl, I feel for you! I have never heard of this procedure, but I pray that you will get some relief!
Peppermint oil seems to be the winner for easy things to try, so I am going to give that a go! Thanks so much!

I’ve heard this from a few people! Essential oils seem to be a winner and I need to make time to learn more about them! Thanks so much for commenting and for your prayers! Truly appreciate both!

Peppermint oil works. I put it on temples, across forehead, back of neck and a bit under nose to inhale. Can put on a cotton ball and sniff it. Peppermint is a hot oil so don’t use too much some people cut it with a carrier oil but I like full strength . Don’t put it near your eyes. The hot doesn’t last but a minute, worth it for the benefit it gives,

This has worked for my headache/migraines lately!! It’s SO random, but try it: Put a pinch of Cream of Tartar under your tongue, Then put 1/2 tsp Crm of Tartar into 1 C of water, stir & drink!!
    Hope it helps you!!!
    Happy for baby girl!!
