Secret Smoothie Recipe Hack

Totally the BEST smoothie recipe. My kids LOVE this treat! I don’t know about you, but for me, one of the first “tastes” of summer are strawberries!

The delicious sweetness, the pop of color….

Strawberries just are a little reminder to slow down and enjoy nature’s goodness. (Basically summer’s mantra.)

This time of year, strawberries are in abundance. This is fabulous because one thing my family LOVES to enjoy together is smoothies! They are a quick, fun treat (and a great way to get extra “good stuff” into my kiddos.

Anyone have a kid that barely eats fruit….!?

That’s my toddler. Sigh.

But each time he gulps down a smoothie, I do a happy dance on the inside and think: “Bwahahaha! Mama pulls a fast one again!” (I don’t let the voices in my head talk too loud- don’t want to jinx it.)

After lots of trial and error, we’ve come up with our perfect version of this smoothie!Totally the BEST smoothie recipe. My kids LOVE this treat!

One killer ingredient we stumbled upon was Bolthouse “C-Boost” Fruit Juice Smoothie. You definitely HAVE to try it in your smoothie! Even if your go-to method uses almond milk, coconut water, or cow’s milk, treat yourself and go ahead and try this juice in your smoothie! I really think you are going to LOVE it-it brings the “smoothie shop taste” into YOUR own kitchen!

As an added bonus, the C-Boost juice has 1000% of your daily value of Vitamin C. (Nope, there isn’t an extra zero thrown in there by accident; you can see why they call it “BOOST”-it’s an immune system, germ- fightin’ powerhouse! (Note: I know I sound like the “C-Boost Ambassador,” but I’m not getting paid to promote this juice, we just have really liked it!)

Need a recommendation on a blender? We’ve had a basic blender, a Magic Bullet, a NutriBullet, and a Ninja (basic model) like this one. (Clearly we’ve been around the “chopping block.” Couldn’t help myself….) But HANDS DOWN I would recommend this super affordable Ninja to you. It basically is like 2 machines. (I use it ALL the time when chopping things for dinner too!)

Like the cutting board? Mine came from Aldi, but here is one just like it!

See the printable recipe below and let me know if you give it a try!

This looks like a good smoothie, you could even try to add a bit of spinach or kale for a little nutritional benefit.

You are absolutely right Kristina! (When I am the smoothie maker-not my husband, who is “Smoothie King” at our house- I like to add some in there- I always feel like I’m winning on the mommy front when I sneak it in and they have no clue! Ha!)
